Cleveland Clinic Physician to speak on plant-based diet and heart disease

To all persons interested in Heart Healthy Diet and Heart Disease Prevention:

The Rochester Area Vegetarian Society is pleased to announce that Caldwell Esselstyn, M.D. will be speaking in Rochester. Dr. Esselstyn conducted a 20-year study establishing that lifestyle changes can prevent and even reverse heart disease. The results of his study have been published in The Journal of Family Practice, The American Journal of Cardiology, and Preventive Cardiology.  His 2007 book Prevent and Reverse Heart Disease sets forth his program and contains 200 delicious recipes.

WHEN: Monday, March 31, 2008; 7:00 PM
WHERE: Brighton Town Hall, 2300 Elmwood Ave., 1st floor Auditorium. Parking at front and rear of building; handicapped entrance at rear.

This event is FREE and open to the public. There will be FREE low-fat VEGAN refreshments before and after the lecture.
