ActivitiesPOTLUCKS AND SPEAKERS: A potluck supper is from 6.30-7.30 p.m. From 7:30-8:45 p.m., presentations include announcements, a guest speaker or small group discussions. Presentations may be followed by small group discussions or a question and answer session. Participants may discuss issues regarding any aspect of the program or difficulties they may be experiencing. Topics are in the general areas of diet, exercise, stress reduction (meditation, yoga, etc), and group support and communication skills.
WHAT TO BRING: Please bring a low fat, vegetarian dish to pass, your own place setting and beverage. Don't worry if you do not know how to cook! Bring a loaf of whole wheat bread or some fruit!
LOCATION: Monroe County Cornell Cooperative Extension, 249 Highland Avenue, Rochester, New York, across from Highland Park. Free parking.
DIRECTIONS: From I-390, exit North on to East Henrietta Road. Turn right on Highland Avenue. The CCE is located on the south side of Highland Avenue between South Avenue and Goodman Street. Park at the rear of the building and enter through the side door marked "Auditorium."
COST: Members free. Non-members $3. (Includes dinner and/or presentation) No reservations needed
ADDITIONAL MEETINGS: Twice a year, Heartbeats! meetings are held in local restaurants and the annual picnic is held at Ellison Park in July.
